Philosophy of Deacon Leadership

Deacon leadership at Meadowlands Baptist Church is rooted in biblical character, servant-hearted example, and faithfulness to the life of the church. Deacons serve by supporting the pastor, caring for the spiritual and practical needs of the congregation, encouraging members, visiting the sick, and helping maintain the peace and order of the church. Their leadership is not one of personal authority, but of humble service, wise counsel, and faithful stewardship under Christ and in cooperation with the church body. In all things, deacons seek to strengthen the ministry of the church, protect its testimony, and promote the glory of God.
